Is it really a good thing to be the Best Kept Secret in St. Louis?
Recently we hosted an Engagement Party “Bahama Style” at the Seven Gables Inn Courtyard and therefore we invited all the Bride’s Kansas City family and guests to stay overnight at this charming Clayton Inn. Truly, It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. General Manager Stacey Wallace and her chef were wonderful to work with and then add their welcoming, hard working staff and somehow that’s where the magic began. The staff were all on call for set up that morning ~ wanting to please us with whatever was needed to prepare for the party. The Inn allowed us to totally transform the courtyard into an island theme with a steel drummer and plenty of island decor ~ they never blinked over the many items we dragged through their lobby into the lush courtyard and just like Cat in the Hat …the following day the entire party was broken down and neatly tucked away into a lobby closet. Love it!

Upon arrival, our KC guests were warmly greeted and each of them soon discovered the classy, yet comfy rooms of old Europe, but with the modern amenities one would expect. They were staying in the heart of Clayton, but felt a thousand miles away. The Inn’s catered Caribbean style food was excellent, the bartender and the servers were exceptional, even volunteering to wear island shirts and bright smiles. Of course the weather resting in the low 70′s made the evening more memorable for a summer June night. After 9:30 p.m . the “after party” popped up just a few blocks away…a comfortable walking distance … who doesn’t love that about Clayton?
The Seven Gables Inn was the perfect setting …Thank you to the entire staff for helping us with our celebration and do know the Best Kept Secret …is no longer a Secret!
